The Universal Service Fund (USF) has announced plans to deploy 2000 kilometers of optical fiber cable (OFC) in fiscal year 2024-25, targeting rural connectivity and 5G readiness, as disclosed during a National Assembly Standing Committee on IT and Telecommunication briefing. ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Dr Umar Saif has said that Pakistan will enhance connectivity through initiation of laying 200,000 kilometers of optical fiber cable.
